The North Ossetian State Medical Academy may be a modern multilevel system of continuous training of specialists with higher medical and pharmaceutical education. More than 3,500 students, interns, residents, graduate students, doctors who undergo primary specialisation and retraining, thematic improvement are trained at the Academy annually.
The structure of the university has 7 faculties, 40 departments, its own clinics, Central lab , psychological and pedagogical service, centers for practical training and testing, a contemporary library with an electronic room and 22 computer classes, providing all students with access to scientific and academic Internet resources. An important area of activity of North Ossetian State Medical Academy is the development of international relations, in particular, partnerships have been formed with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
