In a significant move to deepen educational cooperation and strengthen cultural ties between the two countries, the Russian Education Agency has officially opened its first branch office in New Delhi, India. The launch took place in early December 2025 and marks a major step in enhancing Indo-Russian academic collaboration — especially for Indian students aspiring to pursue higher education in Russia.
The Russian Education Agency is a joint initiative by Synergy Corporation and Innopraktika.India, designed to serve as a one-stop support centre for Indian applicants. The New Delhi branch will assist students with every stage of the process — from choosing the right university program and completing the admission application to processing visas and other essential paperwork. Agency specialists will provide personalized guidance to help Indian students navigate the often complex formalities involved in studying abroad.
According to officials, the opening of this office is aimed not only at facilitating academic mobility but also at promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding. The agency plans to organise workshops, Russian language classes, and interactive sessions themed around Indian-Russian friendship. The first such event, “Bridge of Friendship: Russia and India,” was held in Delhi schools and attended by over 1,000 students, offering a glimpse into Russian culture and educational opportunities.
The Russian Education Agency’s New Delhi office is expected to assist more than 10,000 Indian students looking to study in Russia in the coming years. With many Indian students already pursuing degrees in medicine, engineering, science, and technology in Russian universities, the agency aims to simplify and streamline the transition process — from admissions to cultural and academic adaptation once students arrive in Russia.
Officials have also revealed plans to expand the agency’s presence to other major Indian cities, with new branches scheduled to open in Mumbai and Chennai in 2026. These regional offices will further strengthen access for students across India, making quality international education more reachable and transparent.
The launch of the Russian Education Agency’s India branch comes against the backdrop of long-standing academic relations between the two nations. Decades of student exchanges, collaborative research, and joint educational programmes have built a strong foundation of trust and mutual respect. Through this initiative, both governments hope to continue fostering valuable partnerships and widen opportunities for academic cooperation in areas like medicine, engineering, science, and cultural studies.
For Indian students looking to pursue higher education abroad, the Russian Education Agency’s new India office offers easier access to expert support, clearer pathways to admissions, and streamlined assistance with documentation and visas — making it a landmark development for international study opportunities.
