NEET UG 2026: NTA Issues Important Advisory on Aadhaar, UDID & Category Certificate Updates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an official public notice for candidates planning to appear in NEET UG 2026, advising them to update and verify essential documents before filling out the online application form.

According to the notification, all NEET UG 2026 aspirants must ensure that their Aadhaar Card, UDID Card (if applicable), and Category Certificates are accurate, valid, and updated to avoid application rejection or discrepancies at later stages.

Aadhaar Card Update Mandatory for NEET UG 2026

NTA has instructed candidates to carefully verify the following Aadhaar details:

Any mismatch between Aadhaar details and NEET application data may lead to form rejection or verification issues. Candidates needing corrections should update their Aadhaar through the official UIDAI portals.

UDID Card Advisory for PwD Candidates

Candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must ensure that their UDID (Unique Disability ID) Card:

An invalid or expired UDID card may affect eligibility under the PwD quota during NEET UG 2026 counseling.

Category Certificate Update (EWS / SC / ST / OBC-NCL)

Applicants belonging to EWS, SC, ST, or OBC-NCL categories must confirm that their category certificates:

Outdated or incorrect certificates may result in loss of reservation benefits.
